My New Social Networking Site project has launched

Folks,

I'm proud to say that after months of work, we finally launched the first social networking site that caters to all generations that I help design and build from the ground up. It's called "My Generations Place". Unfortunately, I couldn't get the credit for the idea. This site was actually the brainchild of a couple of smart kids from Southern California.

For the most part however, I'm proud to say I was involved in the design and development of the entire from the very beginning. I was also the primary project manager who coordinated with various development teams. Needless to say, this site has a lot of potential and I'm very excited about its launch. Stay tuned!

IPD Analytics launches new site

I recently help launch the new and improved ipdanalytics.com, the website of Florida-based patent litigation company, IPD Analytics LLC.

From the start, IPD Analytics wanted a website that will appeal to its core audience of researchers, medical and tech professionals, and investors. Their original site did no justice to the professionalism and superb services they offer. It was nothing more than a few pages thrown together in a very basic, non-compelling way with little to no images, as if it was done entirely in MS Word. With a client-base consist mostly of decerning professionals, this had to change.

What the company needed was a website that looked professional, academic, and forward-thinking yet maintaining a clean and minimalistic look. This was achieved by creating a clean layout with lots of white-space to make content easier to absorb. The use of bold and distinctly designed section headers help inform the user of where / what they were viewing. Navigation was greatly simplified and improved while a very compelling animated flash billboard immediately gives the user an idea of what the company is all about.

Almost immediately after launch, the company started getting positive feedback and praises from its clients. The new look definitely helped improve IPD's image.

My Speaking Engagement

My trip to the Philippines this year was extremely gratifying. I got invited to be a guest speaker by one of the most prestigious schools in the central region -- the N. Occ. National Science High School. I say prestigious because you'd have to be extremely smart and gifted to be able to attend this school. So imagine by surprise when they told me I'd be speaking at the annual awards ceremony which recognizes the best and brightest of the bunch. These are truly smart kids!

My job was to give them a glimpse of life in the Silicon Valley and my career in tech...something I'm pretty familiar of having been living it for years now. In the process, I went on to inspire them to think that with a little ingenuity and a lot of hard work, nothing is truly impossible. Someday, these kids will become doctors, scientists, leaders, and professors and who knows what they'll be able to achieve?

To this day, I still get letters from students telling me that they were very much inspired by my little talk ....and that's just an awesome thing to hear!

Audie Roldan teams up with Informulate LLC

A great thing happened recently: I've teamed up with Informulate, LLC to expand my web development offerings.

Informulate, a two year old company founded by Jason Sebring and Rajiv Menon, is software development company specializing in outsourced web development. Among the company's most prominent projects involved work for Liberty Mutual, Alltel, Microsoft, Callaway Golf, and Ashworth.

By partnering with Informulate, I can now leverage Informulate's robust network of on-shore and off-shore developers and resources with a solid background in web design, PHP and ASP.NET development, and Flash development. In addition to web design, I'm also involved with project management for key projects.

NEWARK, Calif. - Tranax Technologies Inc. has announced an overhaul of its corporate Web site to better address the retail, financial and self-service ATM markets.

"Tranax has consistently invested in Internet innovation, setting the standard and raising the bar for best practices in our industry," said Audie Roldan, Tranax's Web-development manager. "This new Web site has been two years in the planning."

The site's relaunch will be conducted in two parts, with the focus being on Tranax's efforts to enhance Web site offerings to help the company reach new markets, Roldan said.

The new site offers improved order-entry and includes new warranty and repair-tracking systems. The new site also includes improved navigation and search features, the company says, in addition to the use of XHTML and JavaScript.

Newark, CA July 11, 2007 Tranax Technologies, Inc., www.tranax.com, a leading developer of ATMs and self-service kiosks, today announced the complete overhaul of its corporate web site to better address its growing business to the retail, financial, and self-service ATM markets.

"Tranax has consistently invested in Internet innovation, setting the standard and raising the bar - for best practices in our industry," said Audie Roldan, Web Development Manager. "This new web site has been two years in the planning. This is the first phase of a two part implementation that enables us to focus on the specific needs of each of our three business segments: Retail ATM, Self-Service, and Financial Services and to incorporate new Web technologies that enhance the site and enable us to support the growing needs of our channel."

The new site allows Tranax to improve order entry and to offer new warranty and repair tracking systems. In addition to the new look and feel, the redesigned site introduces improved navigation and search features. It also allows Tranax to take advantage of powerful new Internet technologies including XHTML to make the site more compliant and support for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX). These Web 2.0 technologies will enhance the user's experience, and new social media tools such as blogs and RSS are designed to engage the user.

Tranax was the first in its industry to utilize the Internet to streamline internal operations such as inventory control, order entry, product shipping and tracking. Its state-of-the-art web-based order management and product-tracking system enables authorized distributors to place customer orders directly into the Tranax system. This system enables Tranax to serve as a central distribution and logistics center, relieving resellers from much of the financial and operational burden associated with placing orders.

My Trip to the NACS Conference - Las Vegas

I was out on another work related trip in Vegas this fall -- this time to attend the annual NACS tradeshow/conference. This year's conference was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

I was there mainly for sales and logistics support and to help assemble our company booth of which I was one of the people in charge of designing it. Other than that, I was free to walk around and see the various exhibits. This was one MASSIVE show!

Below is a photo of me and my co-worker Malissa at our self-service/atm booth:
