My trip to the Philippines this year was extremely gratifying. I got invited to be a guest speaker by one of the most prestigious schools in the central region -- the N. Occ. National Science High School. I say prestigious because you'd have to be extremely smart and gifted to be able to attend this school. So imagine by surprise when they told me I'd be speaking at the annual awards ceremony which recognizes the best and brightest of the bunch. These are truly smart kids!

My job was to give them a glimpse of life in the Silicon Valley and my career in tech...something I'm pretty familiar of having been living it for years now. In the process, I went on to inspire them to think that with a little ingenuity and a lot of hard work, nothing is truly impossible. Someday, these kids will become doctors, scientists, leaders, and professors and who knows what they'll be able to achieve?

To this day, I still get letters from students telling me that they were very much inspired by my little talk ....and that's just an awesome thing to hear!
